The OG definition of deflation is a reduction in the money supply. If there was real deflation, then Bitcoin might not be as popular, but even then it would be deflation administered by a central authority, so just buy Bitcoin.

If there was real deflation, then that might actually be supportive to the value of fiat currencies. But that’s not what is happening.... it’s going to be monetary debasement from our monetary overlords from here on out.

Don't talk to people about it unless they bring it up in conversation with you, definitely don't tell family or friends to invest their money in it because A) they do and then blame you when there's a crash and they sell, realising their losses or B) they don't and then blame you for not insisting enough that they invest. Look after and worry only about yourself.
Of course if someone is aware that you're interested in it all and asks for your opinion or advice, share it. But do so from a neutral standpoint, as in don't encourage them to invest, simply explain what you know and leave it up to them. The most important thing is having as few people aware that you own any at all so you have less to worry about if/when the time comes that it increases in value to a point where people would become very curious and inquisitive about your holdings. For your own comfort you want to avoid that. It's tough to keep your mouth shut when you're newly interested and investing in all of this, but you need to be smart and protect yourself
You've over 1m people on this subreddit alone to chat shit with about the whole thing while remaining anonymous. That should be enough

According to report many leading economists, crypto enthusiasts like myself, definitely! bitcoin will reach six figures but it will only take time sooner than later. You do not need a lot of money to invest in bitcoin, trust me i started with a small amount and I have made so much money in just a couple of months. I made about 78,000 dollars on my first week and this would not have been possible without the help of my very good friend that introduced me to the best bitcoin investment platform online. I reached out to them via their email at..(Digitalassetsconsultancy @ hotmail. com ) I communicated with them for about 6 hours and asked a lot of questions and they gave me great answers and I was very much convinced so I subscribed to their investment package. I received almost 2000 dollars the next day and I said to myself that I will take my time to share this with the world because I really believe in the blockchain technology and not just the money or gains. I was surprised at how much money one can make just by investing and not doing anything. Many many thanks to the digital assets consultancy team for helping out. My first wallet was hacked by online spammers and they helped me to recover it with my funds back in it. I humbly have to add this that I will be buying my first house next week, what more can I say Christmas gift came in very early lol : )

People who think Bitcoin should be a "store of value" not a "money" need to read even the Wikipedia definition of "store of value"

TL;DR when people tell you they think Bitcoin should be a "store of value" you can reply, "I agree, and the best store of value is P2P cash!"
What does it mean to be a "store of value?"
A store of value is the function of an asset that can be saved, retrieved and exchanged at a later time, and be predictably useful when retrieved. More generally, a store of value is anything that retains purchasing power into the future.
The most common store of value in modern times has been money, currency, or a commodity like a precious metal or financial capital. The point of any store of value is risk management due to a stable demand for the underlying asset. Money is one of the best stores of value because of its liquidity, that is, it can easily be exchanged for other goods and services.[1] An individual's wealth is the total of all stores of value including both monetary and nonmonetary assets.[2]
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Store_of_value
Of course historically using "money" as a store of value has been problematic over the long term due to inflation, but that has been addressed....
The wiki makes the killer point here:
Money is one of the best stores of value because of its liquidity, that is, it can easily be exchanged for other goods and services.
Money makes the best "store of value."
Why? Because it can easily be exchanged.
Money. Cash.
To be the best "store of value" -- you need to be "P2P Cash"
